Launched by sustainability experts working with the United Nations, Impacti aims to help 1 million SMEs find their social mission over 5 years. Using our Impacti platform, SMEs can manage their carbon footprint, develop programs to empower women, and find ideas to create business solutions that solve the world's biggest problems. You will join our growing global team with team members based in France, USA, Morocco and Ghana.

Impacti is a tech company that builds digital solutions for sustainability for companies and organizations of all sizes, but especially small and medium businesses. We focus on doing great research to keep up to date on the latest business sustainability trends and great writing to simplify sustainability concepts to make them accessible. Our software development team transforms this research into fun to use and affordable web-based tools designed to make sustainability everyone’s business. At Impacti, we believe that every business deserves tools to better manage sustainability impacts suited to their size, location and sector.  

We’re looking for interested Carbon Footprint Specialists (remote) to join our roster of CARBON advisors. Impacti has developed a SaaS digital solution to make carbon footprint assessments simple for all businesses of all sizes. Our digital solution empowers companies to take a do-it-yourself approach to managing their carbon footprint, guided by our online resources and with expert advice available on demand. Impacti's proprietary methodology aligns with the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-2 and is informed by our experts +15 yaers of practical experience supporting organizations to reach climate neutral and net zero goals.

This position is ideal for both young and experienced professionals building a career offering climate change and sustainability advisory services to companies and organizations. Under the supervision of our CARBON team lead expert, you will be assigned to and meet with our client businesses to kickstart their journey, helping them to decide on the scope of their carbon footprint, tackle data challenges, interpret results, design greening plans and report progress to their emission reduction goals. All short-listed candidates will be enrolled into Impacti's carbon footprint training program to learn our proprietary methodology. Full-time and freelance positions are available, all with flexible remote-based working arrangements.

 Responsibilities

Under the overall direction of Impacti's Director, Climate & Sustainability, you will:

• Meet with Impacti's business clients to advise them on good practices in carbon footprint assessments
• Conduct ongoing research to keep up to date on latest corporate GHG reporting trends
• Draft easy-to-understand guidance material to expand Impacti's online learning resources
• Participate in discussions with sales and marketing teams to develop pitches to expand Impacti's client base

Profile

• Demonstrated experience and interest in corporate GHG emission accounting
• 1-5 years working in corporate environmental management and greening solutions
• Excellent client relations and communication skills
• Strong writer, able to simplify complex technical content into concise, easy-to-understand guidance without compromising accuracy
• Strong analytical, creative and problem solving skills
• Understanding of relevant standards, including in particular GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-2 and demonstrated application of these standards in relevant organizations/companies
• Fluency in English. Other languages, especially French and Spanish, desirable.
• Cultural sensitivity and international experience
• Flexibility and interest to work in a tech startup environment.
