Step 6: Analyze data results

What you can do:

As data is submitted by your reporting entities, Impacti creates dashboards in real-time where you can analyze the data and results for each entity and across your Organization. Here you can compare results and get insights to inform your emission reduction planning.

How it works

  1. After all of your users have added their data in the “Provide Data” section everyone will be taken to their dashboard after clicking on “Go to dashboard”. Here you can visualize the data under the “Overview” tab.

  2. Under the “Data” tab, you can view and download detailed data results from the Data tables.

  3. Under the “Progress” tab, you can see the yearly progress and track goals.

    • Annual Raw & Emissions Detail table - find your activity and emissions data all in one place!

  • Select all of your entities by clicking on the search bar at the top and waiting for your entire organization load, then click on the checkbox next to your organization’s name.

  • Type in the entity name in the search bar and click on the bar icon. This action will clear out any current selections you may have and will take you straight to the entity’s dashboard.

  • Next to the search bar you will see a dropdown where you can choose your year.

  • Select all of your entities by going to the search bar and letting your entire organization load, then click on the organization-level checkbox. Go to the “Data” tab and go to the “Emissions results” table. Click on the arrow beside the “Total” emissions column header to sort from largest to smallest.

  • Go to the “Data” tab and go to the “Emissions breakdown” table. Click on the “Emission category” dropdown to filter for the emission category you would like to analyze. Then click on the arrow beside the “GHG emissions” column header to sort from largest to smallest.

  • Throughout the data tables you have access to insightful metrics. You can benchmark performance either by emissions intensity or raw data intensity.

In the “Emissions breakdown” table you can find the following:

    • Emissions per personnel

    • Emissions intensity and Intensity Unit (per vehicle, per m2, per passenger)

In the “Raw data summary” table you can find the following:

    • Percent Variance (from previous year)

    • Consumption per personnel

    • Intensity and Intensity unit (per vehicle, per m2, per passenger)

Note that the relevant intensity unit depends on the Emission Category (e.g. m2 for electricity, vehicles for Company Vehicles etc).

  • Go to the “Progress” tab and scroll down to the “Emissions Trend” graph where you will find the yearly progress by emission category. Click on the “Years” or “Emission category” to filter the graph further.

  • To create and assign tags, go to the main dashboard and click on “Add/manage data” on the right-hand side, then select “Admin area.” In the “Tagging protocol” section, create the tags you want to use for the selected year (you can check or change the year at the top right of the screen). Once your tags are created, go to “Teambuilder” at the top-left of the screen, choose the entity you want to edit, and you'll see the option to assign tags at the entity level.
