Proxies are now automatically applied to missing fields in categories such as electricity, waste, and water. Users still retain control, with the option to override proxies by submitting actual data. This feature allows users to monitor activity-level data for categories such as electricity, fuels, and waste. When data falls outside expected ranges, the system triggers an alert, guiding users to potential errors early in the reporting process.
This feature adds a new layer of quality assurance to data entry, reducing manual error-checking time and increasing confidence in the final reports.
Emission Factors for Vehicles
Nov and Dec, 2023
Applied the updated 2023 emission factors across all company vehicle categories, improving the accuracy of emissions reporting for corporate fleets. These updates align with the latest UNDP and IPCC methodologies.
Vehicle types such as light trucks, heavy-duty trucks, and passenger vehicles now have more accurate emission profiles, helping organizations better track and manage their transportation emissions.
Introduced recalibrations for regional variations in fuel types, ensuring organizations can capture data specific to the countries in which they operate.
Updates included recalculating emissions for different car categories such as hybrids and electric vehicles, providing clients with more accurate data for 2023 year-end reports.
File Attachment Feature Enhanced

Introduced a prominent visual indicator for attached files within records, significantly improving user experience. Users can now easily spot and manage attached documents linked to emissions records, reducing the time spent searching for key files.
This feature was particularly important for large organizations managing complex datasets with multiple documents, helping them stay organized and efficient in their recordkeeping.
Steam Emission Factor Update
July 2023
Collaborated with UN agencies to update the emission factors for steam in Kyrgyzstan and Moldova. This ensured the platform reflected the most up-to-date values for these regions, allowing users in these countries to submit more accurate GHG inventories.
This update is part of the platform’s ongoing efforts to tailor emissions calculations to region-specific needs, making it an indispensable tool for organizations operating internationally.
Revised Ground Transport Categories in Business Travel

Updated the business travel ground transport categories, adding more vehicle and fuel types to better reflect modern transportation modes. Organizations now have more granular control when reporting emissions from business travel, covering newer technologies like hybrid and electric cars and motorcycles.
New Feature: Waste & Water Time Series and Data Anomaly Columns

% variance = raw data change from previous year
Consumption/personnel = raw data per staff
Intensity and Intensity unit = depending on the source, raw data per office size, or per passenger, or per vehicle
Update in Entity Status and Business travel - air
April 9, 2023
For the selected reporting year status, additional steps were added: "Pending Updates" and "Pending Final Review". Pending updates allows the general user to go back and provide further information if requested and pending final review allows the master user to make any changes before finalizing.
In air travel, an additional field was added to distinguish between "Non-staff" and "Staff" travel. Currently, organizations need to contact us and request this feature to be enabled.
New Feature: Data Quality

Master user has the ability to set data quality options, resulting in a field for each data entry in the Provide Data section. The selected data quality can then be found in the Raw Data Summary table for every data record. This feature can be made required or optional for the user.

Updates in offset screen & user experience

The Offset screen was located between Defining Boundaries and Provide Data sections when adding information for a reporting year. The screen was moved to the dashboard as one of the options under the plus sign labeled "Add emissions offsets" or by clicking the pencil icon in the "Emissions offset/removed" card.
The last entity that the user views before exiting will be saved for the next time they log back in.
Additional Waste treatment options added

For "General waste", "On-site storage" was added ad an additional treatment type and "Unknown" treatment was changed to "Other/Unknown".

There is a better control on how data is added to an entity by applying a restriction when an entity is inactive or active. Also, user can display and edit the status of an entity in Team Builder based on the year selected.
